What is Important When Learning Tarot

So you want to learn tarot and are not sure where to start. I am here to help you on your learning journey.

First you need to know that the most difficult part of this is learning the meaning of the cards and it is all down hill from there. The best way to do this is to really study the pictures because there are key things on each card that really make sense with its meaning. I have seen some use post its to keep the meanings right there on the card, that way there is not a lot of back and forth from the cards to a book and some like me who defaced a deck by writing o the backs of each card. I called it my learning deck and it helped so much.

Once you have the how to learn the cards part done it is time to make this yours. You are an individual and have a lot to bring to every reading. Each on of us interprets the cards a little differently and that is where this process becomes yours personally. Use your intuition when reading, if something comes up in your mind that you feel strongly about or if the reading is going a certain direction then go with that and let the person know what you are seeing, feeling, getting from the cards. You can make this very mystical if that is your style or you can be straight to the point, the choice is yours.

As far as your cards go, this again is personal. Some people don’t want anyone else touching their cards, some cleanse the cards after each reading and before each reading, some just shuffle and go. Again whatever works for you. Don’t let anyone tell you how it should be because this is your spiritual relationship with the cards and process and you are the only one who knows what makes that ok for you.
